- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My experience with Dr. Meinert's dentistry practice was mixed at best. The front office staff was polite, although seemed a little novice in addressing specific dental plan questions regarding insurance coverage. It would be a help to the entire practice if the front desk staff could increase their depth of knowledge of various dental plans. The hygenist that I dealt with was extremely nice and very knowlegdable, in fact, she was the stand out amongst all the others I had direct contact with in the office. Kudos to her! My dealings with Dr. Meinert were the low point of my visit. Dr. Meinert came in quietly introduced himself, made a comment about my job, then started the new patient exam. He offered little feedback during the exam so I thought he was going to give a summation of his findings after the exam, boy was I wrong! At the completion of the exam Dr. Meinert mumbled something to the hygenist about having me schedule an appointment said bye and left the room. He offered no information on his findings, the condition of my teeth, or what I should do differently. He left so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to call him back. I have never had a dentist offer me no feedback after a NEW patient exam. It was left up to the hygentist to attempt to explain his findings, however, that is not her job and Dr. Meinert should know better than to place that kind of burden upon the shoulders of a hygentist. Lastly, I noticed during the exam that Dr. Meinert was using a computer mouse to get views of x-rays and access digital charts. The mouse had no disposable protective covering on it and he kept using the same gloved hand to touch the mouse then put it back in my mouth and continue the exam. I'm doubtful they wipe down the mouse after the exam so it made me wonder about the potential sanitation issues involved in spreading disease between patients. Overall, you may want to keep looking if you are new in town and you see his name pop when doing a search for local area dentists.May 26, 2017by A Google User
