  My mother, Brenda Bryant, UCDavis Professor of human development for 40 years was admitted to this hospital and after two days of being monitored for a perforated colon, she choked on her own vomit and died inbetween a sugeon visit and a physician visit. I checked her in, nobody ever did a test when she was checked in to see if she knew how to use the call button. I am requesting records if the call button was ever used but my mother died of "natural causes" when other surgeons I spoke with not in California are confused why she did not have a NG tube. Nurse staff has a lackadisicle attitude, like they live for the club... I helped with ng tube admistering after my mothers strokes in a Los Angeles hospital and I know it's not easy to do with her but in LA I was told the ng tube would keep her from dying... Surgeon never spoke to me after Brenda's death, guess he is scared of Mal Practice he comitted? Or is there an issue with making sure patients know how to call for help, I had to help my mother use remotes and practice using them with her even when she was not a stroke victim. I will 100% be done with Davis in before I'm too old. Marijuana party culture/big business screwing small towns has ruined this town. (Update: I received a letter about an internal review of my mother's (poor) care that led to her dying needlessly early, and they have the wrong dates or they are ignoring the first day she was checked into Sutter Hospital. 6 people have died of Diverticulitus in Davis in 3 years. This is common and treatable, however if doctors don't think to look for it, you can die way earlier than neccessary in this city. This was a retired professor from UCD who taught here for 40 years)
